1. About these terms
These terms apply to all websites, web applications, software and related services provided by Yatecway ("I", "me") to you, the client. By sending an enquiry, accepting a quote or paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes and estimates
Prices and estimates on this website are a guide only. Your final price is set out in a written quote based on your requirements. Quotes are valid for 30 days. Work outside the agreed scope will be quoted separately before it is done.
3. Payment
- A 50% deposit is required before work starts. The remaining 50% is due on completion, before the project goes live.
- Projects under R3,000 are paid in full upfront.
- Payment is by EFT (bank transfer) or a secure card payment link sent with your invoice.
- All prices are in South African Rand (ZAR). Yatecway is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added.
- Monthly maintenance (R350/month) is billed monthly in advance and can be cancelled with one month's notice.
4. Timelines and your responsibilities
Timelines start once the deposit and all required content (text, images, logins and so on) have been received. You are responsible for providing content you have the right to use, and for giving feedback within a reasonable time. Delays in content or feedback will move the delivery date.
5. Revisions
Each project includes up to two rounds of revisions on the agreed design and content. Further changes, or changes to the agreed scope, are charged separately.
6. Support and maintenance
Packages include free support for the period stated in the package (3 or 6 months) from launch. This covers fixing bugs in the work I delivered and small content updates. It does not cover new features, redesigns or problems caused by changes made by you or a third party.
7. Hosting, domains and third-party services
Hosting and domains are registered in your name and you own the accounts. Hosting and domain fees are paid directly to the provider. I am not responsible for outages, price changes or policy changes of third-party services such as hosting providers, payment gateways or email services.
8. Ownership
Once the project is paid in full, you own the final website or application and its content. Until then, all work remains mine. I may reuse general code, tools and techniques that are not specific to your business. I may show your project in my portfolio unless you ask me not to.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel a project at any time by notifying me in writing. Once work has started, the deposit is non-refundable, and any work completed beyond the value of the deposit will be invoiced.
10. Limitation of liability
I take care to deliver reliable, secure work, but I cannot guarantee that a website or application will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent allowed by law, my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the project concerned. I am not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or data.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act where they apply.
12. Changes and contact
I may update these terms from time to time. The version on this website at the time you accept your quote applies to your project. Questions? Email info@yatecway.co.za or call 068 128 4692.
